Celebrating the Spirit of the Horse!
Thursday, March 21, 2013 - Sunday, March 24, 2013 (All Day Event)
The Northwest Horse Fair and Expo, presented by Bison Coach, has announced a top-notch lineup of clinicians and early details for the popular
equine expo, to be held March 21 through 24, 2013 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany, Oregon. The Northwest Horse Fair and Expo celebrates the spirit of the
horse, in a fantastic horse fair, now in its 14th year. Utilizing the entire facility at Linn County, the Northwest Horse Fair features world class horse
trainers and riders, a multitude of horse breed demonstrations and exhibits, an enormous trade show, education through clinics, lectures and demonstrations, and riveting equine entertainment – all
for the enjoyment of Northwest horse lovers!
Chris Cox headlines the variety of equine experts providing daily clinics at the Northwest Horse Fair. A World Champion, Chris is a master rider, trainer and horse
handler, working with fine tuned finesse in all aspects of horses, from starting colts to finishing performance horses. In addition to Chris Cox clinics, The Northwest Horse
Fair will also offer first-class presentations by: Steve Edwards working with Mules and Donkeys; Mark Bolender conducting Competitive Trail clinics; Cliff Swanson
presenting Western Dressage, Driving and English Pleasure; Jochen Schleese with SaddleFit4Life®; Rick Lamb from RFD-TV’s Horse Show Live; Peggy Cummings teaching Connected
Riding®; and Raye Lochert offering General Training and Horsemanship. And that’s not all…. additional clinicians will be announced very soon.
The Northwest Horse Fair & Expo is pleased to bring back the popular All Breed Challenge, which debuted last year at the festival. Horses and
riders from all disciplines are invited to sign up and compete for the 2013 contest. “This is your chance to show off your riding and training skills in a timed obstacle course that draws
challenges from many riding disciplines”, said John Cloe, Event Manager and Founder. “Riders 12 years of age and older are eligible to compete and horses and riders may come from any type of
riding.” Contestants could see obstacles from a multitude of riding disciplines, including jumping, trail, timed events, reining, dressage, and much more! Horse and rider teams are judged on
accuracy, horsemanship, equitation and attitude of the horses. Mr. Cloe continued, “Last year’s event was really exciting to watch, with demonstrations of amazing horsemanship and great
partnerships between horses and riders. The finale brought the house down with thunderous applause, as the top 4 riders showed off their incredible skills, competing for cash and prizes, and the
title of All Breed Challenge Champion!” For more information and a participant application, go to http://equinepromotions.net/northwest-horse-fair/event-details/special-events/ .
