Dr. Burns' research focuses on topics related to the domestic and international textile and apparel industries, consumer behavior of fashion goods, and the effect of appearance in social interaction.

Her current scholarly work focuses on consumer perceptions of and responses to socially responsible labeling on textile products and female student-athletes' perceptions of competitive uniforms. She is also working with scholars from Korea and Taiwan in exploring cross-national consumer behavior.

The OSU Business Roundtable (BRT) is made possible by a partnership between the OSU College of Business and the OSU Alumni Association. The goal is to provide networking and service opportunities for alumni within the Portland area business community. We host a dynamic speaker series that features successful alumni as key speakers.
