Please join us and find out how successful biomass energy systems are designed and managed, and discuss opportunities for new projects in Northeast Oregon. Community members, developers, and experts from across the region will come together to promote biomass utilization as a way to lower heating costs, enhance forest health, and improve rural economies.
Who wil be attending the workshop? Key project players, including developers and funders, community members, state and federal agency staff, fuel suppliers, existing and prospective facility managers, and more.
This workshop is part of the Oregon Wood Energy Cluster project, a collaborative agency and non-rofit effort to develop biomass clusters that compliment current forest restoration activities in Oregon. Examples include projects that can provide heat and power to schools, hospitals, commercial buildings and indsutrial facilities. Participating projects will be eligible to receive technical assistance and resources to help with evaluation and early stage development.
