The next evening public lecture in the Food for Thought community lecture series at OSU will feature Prabhu Pingali, Deputy Director of Agricultural Development at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Dr. Pingali will provide a retrospective view on the first Green Revolution in agricultural technology, including its achievements and limitations in increasing global food supply and reducing poverty. He will then explore the challenges of a Green Revolution 2.0, which he argues is urgently needed for sustainably feeding the world and enhancing the prosperity of smallholder farmers.
