Traveling and working together in rural Oregon and Japan, students will immerse themselves in collaborative, project-based coursework that will build cross cultural connections and understanding. Students will investigate the social, economic and ecological issues that affect rural communities: aging population, outmigration of youth, rural poverty, and the interplay of industry and environment.
