The co-editors of MORAL GROUND: Ethical Action for A Planet in Peril, Michael Nelson and Kathleen Dean Moore, share insights about several moral reasoning methods that can help scientists whose work is critical to understanding and (perhaps) averting catastrophic climate change. What is the logic behind climate change denial? What accounts for the frustrating disconnect between scientific information and public understanding? What are the moral responsibilities of expertise? Michael Nelson is currently the Lead-PI of the HJ Andrews Long-Term Ecological Research program at OSU.
