Dr. Mehra Shirazi currently teaches courses at OSU in Global Women's Health, Feminist Research, and Gender and Health Disparities, after having earned a PhD in Public Health from OSU in 2006. Her
current research focuses on breast health knowledge and early detection behaviors among immigrant and refugee women.
Join us as Dr. Shirazi shares her insights and the driving motivation behind her work. This presentation is a continuation of IP’s new monthly series, Unique Journeys: Collaboration Beyond
Borders. From OSU’s diverse population of international scholars, faculty, student interns and sponsoring professors, IP introduces a lively series of talks and panel discussions.
Light refreshments will be served.
