Technology and food marketing in the age of animal welfare

The "Food for Thought" community lecture series returns this month with Joy Mench, professor in the Department of Animal Science and the Director of the Center for Animal Welfare at the University of California, Davis.

Dr. Mench will explore what animal welfare means from scientific and ethical perspectives, how it is represented in the marketplace, and what consumers can do to make informed purchase and care decisions.
