About the NETL:

The NETL is part of DOE’s national laboratory system, and implements a broad spectrum of energy and environmental R&D programs that will return benefits for generations to come:

Enabling domestic coal, natural gas, and oil to economically power our Nation’s homes, industries, businesses, and transportation while protecting our environment and enhancing our energy independence.

The National Energy Technology Lab in Albany, OR hires students in chemistry, engineering, geology, materials science, computer science, mathematics, and other related fields. Ten month summer internships are available for undergraduate students, and research associate positions are available for graduate and postdoctoral students.

About SEI:

SEI is an education-focused group promoting energy literacy and awareness among all ages. The club is open to all students, with a particular emphasis on engineering, science, and environmental policy.

SEI typically meets twice a month during the school year. Meetings often include speakers from industry and research, and developing our energy education curriculum. We also take trips to sustainable energy facilities in the region, and we attend conferences and other professional summits on energy.
