Growing Berries & Grapes

From the Ground Up Farming Program

Learn about the best berries to grow in the lower Willamette Valley. This class will cover varieties, how to grow the berries, irrigation, soil needs, insects and diseases that you will need to look out for while growing blueberries, strawberries, blackberries. Gooseberries or currants and grapes, which can be a tad more difficult to grow will also be covered.

OSU Extension Service, Lane Community College AgriBusiness and the Small Business Development Center in Eugene are teaming up to offer a 9-part  class series designed for new farmers and others interested in expanding their knowledge about agriculture opportunities on a small-scale.

The classes will be held at the LCC campus at 4000 East 30th Avenue, Building 17, Room 310 in Eugene, Oregon.
