Sheep Pasture Workshop

OSGA/OSU Fall Pasture Workshop

Thursday, October 3, 2013 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

This pasture workshop is a continuation of educational programs related to the Oregon Sheep Growers Association Mentor Program. The purpose of the mentor program is to develop connections between new and experienced sheep producers. The goal is to make the knowledge of experienced sheep producers available to new sheep owners.

The workshop will cover grazing management, critical periods for pastures, stand improvement and soil fertility. The format includes discussion, presentation and a walking tour. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather.

There is no charge for the workshop. Light refreshments will be served.
