Whethe a timber harvest is large or small, woodland owners must carefully evaluate their objectives before beginning. A well-conducted harvest will help realize those objectives, but a poor job may lead to disappointing results that endure for a long time. Many landowners have little personal experience with timber harvesting and are unfamiliar with the myriad choices of equipment and methods. The goal of this program is to help owners select the harvesting options most appropriate for their specific timber and property characteristics as well as their unique objectives.
Speakers: Blair Moody, Biomass Lead, BLM/USFS. Blair is a field forester in southern Oregon with many years of experience in timber harvesting.
