Lifetime and Delay Analysis for Linear Wireless Sensor Networks with Multiple Sinks
Linear wireless sensor networks are a special class of wireless sensor networks where sensor nodes are deployed in a straight line. Monitoring industrial pipelines, bridges, tunnels and rivers exist in a linear form and are applications of linear networks. In this paper, we simulate a linear wireless sensor network with multiple sinks and analyze the behavior of network lifetime and transmission delay against energy, data rates and MAC contention constraints.
