Stephen Nigro’s organization is responsible for Imaging and Printing Group’s graphic businesses, generating new imaging system businesses, and for developing new printing and non-printing
technologies. Graphic and Imaging Business Unit (GIB) leads the strategy to capture high-value pages by developing compelling solutions for the industrial, commercial printing and graphics segments.
This includes responsibility for large format (DesignJet) printers, Indigo digital presses, digital publishing solutions, graphics printing solutions, and specialty printing systems. The imaging
system businesses consist of digital projection systems and the new “Halo” virtual conferencing systems. GIB also includes some of Hewlett-Packard’s most valuable technology development assets. GIB
is responsible for developing Hewlett-Packard’s own printing technologies, including all inkjet systems, liquid electrophotography, and LightScribe. Stephen joined Hewlett-Packard in 1981, working as
a summer hire in San Diego, then transferred to Singapore in 1991, and returned to Corvallis in 1994. Stephen holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
