Free Seminar

June 25, 10-10:50,

"Co-evolution of hydrological processes and ecosystems." with Dr. Steve Lyon, in Bexell Hall Room 103.

Bio: Dr. Steve Lyon is a senior lecturer with the department of Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology at Stockholm University in Stockholm, Sweden. His undergraduate studies were in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Purdue University. From there, Steve went on to complete his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. This was followed by postdoctoral research exploring hillslope-to-catchment scale hydrological processes in the southwestern U.S. with the department Hydrology and Water Resources at the University of Arizona. Dr. Lyon’s current research centers on identifying and representing the underlying physical processes that define how ecosystems and hydrology interact across scales and co-evolve with time.
