“Hydrology and Water Resources Management: the art of channeling information flows.” with Dr. Steve Weijs, Gilmore Hall Room 234.

Bio:  Dr. Steven Weijs is a research associate at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland (EPFL). After obtaining an civil engineering degree, with specialization in hydrology, from TU Delft, The Netherlands, he worked at a water resources management engineering consultant. He then returned to TU Delft to obtain his Ph.D. in water resources management. He then won an AXA research fund fellowship to do postdoctoral research at EPFL. Throughout his research career, Steven has been interested in the question how we can use information from various sources to reduce uncertainty and make better decisions about the natural environment we inhabit.
